Samsung Bows Out: No Displays for iPhone SE 4

Apple is developing the iPhone SE (4th generation). According to multiple reports, the brand will equip the upcoming phone with the same display that it used for the iPhone 13.

Exciting news for all you iPhone fans out there! Apple is getting ready to launch the new iPhone SE (4th generation), and it’s going to be awesome. One of the big things everyone’s been wondering about is what kind of display it’s going to have.

So, here’s the scoop: Apple was checking out different companies to supply the display panels for the new iPhone SE. They had three big contenders: BOE, Samsung Display, and Tianma. Samsung Display started off by offering the lowest price at $30 per unit, followed by BOE at $35, and Tianma at $40. But Apple had a budget in mind, and they didn’t want to pay more than $20 per unit.

Now, here’s where it gets interesting. Samsung Display ended up backing out of the talks because they couldn’t agree on the price with Apple. So, Apple decided to go with BOE instead. Even though BOE initially offered a higher price than Samsung Display, they managed to bring it down to $25 per unit, which Apple was happy with.

This move was a bit of a surprise because Samsung Display was offering the lowest price before. But it seems like they might have decided it wasn’t worth it for them to supply the displays for the iPhone SE 4. Maybe they think they’ll make more money focusing on supplying displays for the upcoming iPhone 15 series instead.

These decisions can really make a difference in stuff like how much the phone ends up costing and how awesome the display is gonna be. So, it’s worth paying attention to as we eagerly await the new iPhone SE.
